For Ocean Gate’s own customer communications, Ocean Gate normally determines why and how personal information is processed.

Where Ocean Gate provides CRM or messaging services to an authorized business client, that business client may determine the purposes of processing and Ocean Gate may process information on its behalf. Individuals may therefore need to contact the relevant business as well as Ocean Gate regarding certain privacy requests.

3. Information We Collect

• Protection of legitimate business, security, and operational interests, provided those interests do not improperly override individual rights.

Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent, although withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid.

7. WhatsApp Consent and Communication Choices

We contact individuals through WhatsApp when they have provided their telephone number and the required permission, or where another applicable legal basis permits the communication.

When required, we will identify the business responsible for the communication and explain the general category of messages the individual can expect.

• Replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE.
• Asking the representative handling the conversation.
• Emailing info@oceangateline.ae.

We will take reasonable steps to honor opt-out, block, and communication-preference requests.

Where required, we use appropriate contractual, organizational, or technical safeguards for international transfers and limit transfers to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.

11. Data Retention

We generally aim to complete eligible, verified requests within 30 calendar days. We may retain limited information where required for legal, regulatory, accounting, customs, security, contractual, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Disconnecting a Meta or WhatsApp business asset may stop future access but does not necessarily delete information already stored in Ocean Gate-controlled systems. A separate deletion request may therefore be required.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential website operation.
• Security and fraud prevention.
• Remembering preferences.

Where required by applicable law, we will request the appropriate cookie or analytics consent.

16. Third-Party Platforms and Links

Our website and services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms, including Meta, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, shipping providers, and payment or logistics partners.

Those organizations may separately collect and process information under their own privacy policies. Ocean Gate is not responsible for the privacy practices of an independent third party.

17. Children’s Information

Our services are intended for businesses and adults using shipping, logistics, e-commerce, or customer-support services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization or another lawful basis.

If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact info@oceangateline.ae.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
